The iPhone 3G

The second generation of iPhone has been released, offering support for faster 3G wireless networks. The new iPhone comes with the new feature of GPS satellite navigation built in and according to Steve Jobs the 3G iPhone is “three times faster” when downloading content over a mobile network than the first generation of iPhone.

The 3G iPhone was released on the 11th July 2008 in 22 countries and so far the reaction has been encouraging despite initial teething problems.

Apple boss Steve Jobs claimed before its release that this model would be “more affordable” for consumers.
