Developers of the popular facebook application Scrabulous, have been forced to suspend their application due to Scrabble creators Hasbro claiming copyright infringement and beginning legal action. Users in the US and Canada have been denied access to the application, however it is still enabled for other users.
Hasbro had asked facebook to suspend the application completely, yet facebook claimed it was down to the developers of applications to manage their own work. Scrabulous has proved to be one of the more successful applications after attracting around 500,000 new users each day.
